Join us as we kick of 2012 right with Ken Schwaber (via Skype) who will be providing us with some back to the basics principals on Scrum as well as hitting on the points of what Scrum is and isn't. Ken is a founding member of the Scrum Framework and we were honored to have him at our first meeting in January 2009. He now returns to help guide us through some of the changes in the Scrum Guide since then and many things learned over the last 3 years.

If you were on a waiting list, you have been cleared. We have opened up some satellite rooms at the office and hope that can accomodate the crowd. We will soon find out :-)

Lance DacyEvent HostOrganizerIt was great to hear from Ken and a lot of the changes that are going on with the Scrum Guide and how they are less regid in the process (which is how it is suppose to be). Ken has a great sense of humor and is very matter-of-factChecked-in
in his delivery (which of course is mostly common sense). We all need that from our industry leaders to help us ensure we are not over-processing our processes :-)

Charles SchwopeWas good, hampered in part by the skype aspect of it. I would have preferred a more back and forth dialogue instead of what was very close to a monologue even during the Q&A section. The quick 1 line responses to the preset questions were funny, but lacking in content. Comparing this to when Jim Highsmith attended, there was no comparison in the content and discussion.

Tim Nolan+1 guestIt was a pleasure to visit with a co-founder of Scrum. The food and company were great as always. I was a bit late, so I had to go to the overflow room. I think I would have had a better experinece in main room. I still enjoyed the presentaion and Q/A.

Aaron CorcoranThe meetup was great. Food was an incredible bonus (and quite charitable), Ken was candid, and overall the experience was a good one. My only desire was that I could have been part of the larger collective audience and not in the overflow room, as there is always a different vibe when part of the collective audience. It is a good problem to have, a lot of attendees, so I'm not complaining, just offering a perspective.

DavidThe content was very good, but technical issues with the video conference in the overflow room made it quite hard to follow. It would come in clear for a while, then start to stutter. Additionally, the slightest movement from anyone in the room would overpower the weak speakers, causing us to miss what was being said.
